Yes.  It is a big deal, because your health is important, and green construction provides a healthier environment for our homes, public buildings, and commercial structures.

Indoor environmental scientists around the world continue to discover new ways to manufacture construction materials and products that are safer and healthier for our homes and public buildings.  Many of the advancements in material technology are not only better for your health, but they are also better for our planet because sustainable materials are used in place of petroleum products, old-growth forest materials, and others.  

At Brand Construction, we want to deliver the best remodel or new build product for you.  The United States Environmental Protection Agency provides guidelines for green construction, and we follow them.  Brand Construction is also a supporting member of Project Lead the Way, an organization dedicated to helping contractors practice green and sustainable architecture/building.  

Some of the Ways We Practice Environmental Construction:

• The Drywall Gypsum Board we use to make walls and ceiling is designed to repel mold

• All paints, from primers to finish coatings are green certified.  These products are free of toxic chemical ingredients that would gas off as they age

• The adhesives and glues we use are also green certified 

• When possible, and with client permission, we use reclaimed wood and bricks, recycled steel, and other materials

• We use upgraded insulation materials such as plant-based foam that reduce energy costs and keep your home or commercial structure more comfortable

• We install systems and appliances that protect indoor air-quality

• Our team and vendors are expert at installing solar electrical systems
